We have remained one of the leading human service companies by adapting and responding to our community’s needs.  The residents and businesses of South Carolina have benefited from our professional help for over 100 years.  Family Services Inc. has successfully withstood the test of time and socioeconomic changes by providing quality service to families and individuals.

Seeking independent or family support does not have to be a source of anxiety.  With our staff of certified counselors, we offer an array of programs for you to choose that will assist you in your specific situation.

Conservator/Guardian Program provides financial management and protection of assets for individuals who need assistance to manage their estate and protect the estate from potential exploitation. Most individuals are appointed through the Probate Court Process.

Representative Payee Program manages the day-to-day financial obligations for individuals, who are on a fixed income of Social Security or SSI. The program pays rent, utilities, food, and clothing to allow the individual to remain as functionally independent as possible.

In 1971, Consumer Credit Counseling Services (CCCS) became linked to Family Services Inc. and has successfully helped families and individuals find peace and relief from debt and spending problems.

Homeownership Resource Center, as an affiliate of NeighborWorks^® America, we promote home ownership in the community for low and moderate-income housing. The program includes First Time Homebuyer Workshops, credit analysis classes, reverse mortgage counseling, and default counseling.

Our Behavioral Health Services (BHS) is specifically designed to address personal problems ranging from domestic violence, marriage/family issues, to anger management and substance abuse. 

Our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers business and industry a wide range of employee services in addition to the traditional Behavioral Health Services. EAP provides benefits to employees that are above and beyond those a business might be able to supply.
