FAMILY VIOLENCE INTERVENTION
This program is designed to put an end to the debilitating effects of the cycle of violence in families by increasing self-esteem and empowering the individuals to become self-sufficient and to maintain independence in a violent-free lifestyle.
Through education and therapeutic counseling the cycle of violence can be broken and individuals are able to restore their self-esteem, realize their choices and focus on the restoration of their dreams that were lost through emotional, physical and sexual abuse in their families.

The Victims of Domestic Violence Program serves individuals who have experienced violence in the home. These individuals may work individually or in a group format with master’s level licensed professional counselors. The program is sixteen-week evidence based clinical program based on the proven Duluth model. Family Services has been delivering this successful program for over five years and the results have been significant. Over 85% of the participants report being employed, confidence in being safe and greater self-esteem after six months of completing the program. The program is free and the groups are open to receiving participants any time.
PERPETRATORS AND BATTERS PROGRAM The perpetrators and batters program is sanctioned and audited by the Department of Social Services. The approved curriculum is taught in a 26-32 week program. The emphasis is to clarify the individual’s response to anger and to emphasize respect and cooperation among all members in a family environment. A Master’s level counselor teaches the program with emphasis in alcohol and drug addition. The legal community, the judicial community and law enforcement recognize this program.
